Our Mission

All persons with disabilities and their families shall be empowered to exercise and enjoy the full extent of their rights and to pursue the greatest possible quality of life.
About WCA

The Wisconsin Coalition for Advocacy (WCA) is a private, nonprofit agency chosen by Wisconsin's Governor to provide protection and advocacy for people with disabilities throughout the state. WCA is completely independent of state government and direct service providers.

WCA works throughout the state with individual consumers, their families, human service and other professionals, and policymakers who make and implement decisions on disability rights.

The skilled advocates, attorneys and consultants of WCA bring professional as well as personal experience in issues of disability rights to their work. The committed individuals who serve on the WCA Board of Directors include people with disabilities, family members and other community representatives.

WCA is part of a national system of independent protection and advocacy agencies established by the United States Congress in the 1970s to safeguard the rights of people with disabilities. WCA receives funding from federal and state grants, training fees and private donations.
